You’ve likely heard me share with you powerful insights about your Five Element constitution and how living a life true to your nature, versus what culture dictates, might be the most powerful tool you have to achieve and maintain physical and emotional health. We become ill, physically or mentally, when we ignore or turn against who we are. Yet we don’t live in an era or environment that fosters deep self-knowledge therefore inviting us towards a lifetime journey to find and be true to ourselves.
This fall, I’m excited to offer a new facet to my practice, supporting you on your unique path to health and truth.
I recently became a certified Wayfinder Life Coach (program designed & taught by Martha Beck, PhD) and will begin offering a 90-minute combined mind/body focused coaching and acupuncture session that can be booked by current patients.
As a college student majoring in Psychology and navigating a challenging year, I became a patient of Five Element Acupuncture and had a light bulb moment that forever changed my life: this ancient medicine’s ability to treat the spirit and body offered a depth and path to balance I couldn’t turn away from and by the next year (which was over 21 years ago!!), I was enrolled at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. My love of psychology has not diminished over these past two decades of working with the body. Integrating coaching into my practice has been a great fit for my patients who are already highly functional but desire more—more joy, more freedom, more access to true Self, with curiosity about the parts that take them away from it as well.
There may be times when it feels like engaging your mind on the story behind what brings you into a session is called for.
In addition to the Wayfinder coaching tools (happy to share more about them), my coaching philosophy is also inspired by the work of Dr. Richard Schwartz of Internal Family Systems. I have completed multiple IFS trainings through the IFS institute and hope to enroll in IFS Level 1 training in 2022, continuing my learning.
